Concerns and information for parents as we enter the height of the Flu season:

Throughout the month of January we have seen a modest uptick in illnesses in our schools that are flu like and we wanted to share with you the following links to provide some helpful medical advice and effective management strategies for this health concern.  Please review the content of these links and if you are concerned about your child not feeling well, then do not hesitate to contact your doctor or medical clinic if they are showing signs similar to the flu.   As a school district, we have been taking care to try and disinfect our buildings and classrooms on a regular basis.  Handrails, door handles, desk tops etc. are all being disinfected throughout the week to try to eliminate the transfer of germs that can lead to illness but it is not a plan than can be 100% effective.  As such, please encourage your children to wash their hands frequently throughout the day and use the hand sanitizer dispensers located throughout the buildings to help them from exposure to germs.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our building nurses and the District’s Lead Nurse Kathy Campbell (508-476-4036) if you have questions or concerns.  Be well.
