Optional Chromebook device protection flyer

Douglas Public Schools is pleased to offer families the option to purchase AKKO device protection for school-issued Chromebooks for students in Grades 2–12 during the 2026–2027 school year.

Accidents happen, and Chromebook repairs can become expensive. An uninsured Chromebook repair can cost around $141, while AKKO coverage is available for less than $30 per school year.

What Does AKKO Cover?

The optional plan provides coverage for accidental damage, including drops, cracked screens, spills, broken keys, and liquid damage. Coverage also includes unlimited covered claims with a $0 deductible, and Douglas Public Schools handles the claims and repair process.

For the 2026–2027 school year, pricing is:

  • Grades 2–5: $20.99 per Chromebook for the school year

  • Grades 6–12: $29.99 per Chromebook for the school year

  • Deductible: $0

There is a 15-day waiting period from the date of purchase before accidental damage claims are eligible.
